Special Education

Grades 9-12

Parents and students,

Welcome to the new 2016-2017 school year! I am excited to have your child in my classroom. I have been teaching for 22 years, and for the past four years I have been teaching Special Education.  I earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northeast Louisiana University and I earned a M.ED in Special Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  My philosophy of teaching is that every child can learn , but in different ways.  Teachers need to find student's strengths, and then set a plan that will help them reach their goals.

I believe that a good education is important.  I also believe that learning can be fun, challenging, and rewarding.  Let's work together to make sure that your child receives the best education possible. Please feel free to contact me at any time about any concerns, questions, or progress about your child.  I can be reached by calling (318)  387-2932 ext. 1452  or e-mail  I am also available for conferences Monday through Friday from the hours 7:30am- 8:00am; 1:00pm- 2:00pm; and 2:30-3:00pm.  I look forward to a wonderful school year!
